For those unfamiliar with SOMA’s premise, the action, developed by Frictional Games, takes place under the sea in a facility called PATHOS-II. Something went wrong over there, and players are stranded with depleted food supplies, lack of communication with the outside world, and machines that have begun to behave like humans. Inhabited by ugly creatures, insane robots, and even an enigmatic, ubiquitous AI.
SOMA was first released in 2015 to positive reviews. It exceeded sales expectations and was nominated for numerous awards. Considering it’s a short and fun game (takes about 10 hours to beat), Highly recommend trying SOMA Before leaving PS Plus for good.
