Ok, Halo Infinite Forgers. You are had my curiosityNow you have my attention.
Halo Infinite Forge creator Blupe Vave has unveiled an ongoing multiplayer map called Crumbling Lands that recreates Crumbling Farum Azula, one of the final dungeons in FromSoftware’s Elden Ring. I can’t think of two game aesthetics as distinctly different as Halo and Elden Ring, but this map still looks incredible. It’s very loyal to Elden Ring, and my first hunch was that Blupe Vave actually assumed he imported a pile of Elden Ring assets into Halo Infinite.
But no: it just shows how much you can do with Forge map-making tools if you have the skill and patience to pull it off.
rebus gaming You can find the crumbling lands of the current ‘playtest v1’ iteration by highlighting the map on Twitter and in the Halo Infinite content browser. at this linkThe map is currently unpublished, but you can use the link to bookmark it and play it on Infinite anyway. I popped in for a quick walkthrough and after the initial shock it was clear this was a Forge map. It’s not as flashy as Elden Ring’s actual collapsing Farm Azzurra, but the lighting is a bit flatter and it’s not littered with torches. Around than the real thing.
But Blupe Valve’s map meticulously nails the look of the crumbling world. Melting candles everywhere cast a faint golden glow in the hallway. Outside, a large amount of debris floats at odd angles in the void. It’s déjà vu, with suspended platforms you can jump on and winding, sloping passageways that look close enough to FromSoftware assets.
Crumbling Lands is a small map — you can imagine a good chunk of the map’s budget was spent on debris floating around — but I think the finished version would be a hit with Halo custom games. will be one of your favorite playfields.
Check out the Blupe Vave trailer for the map above. This is the only video they have on their YouTube channel right now, but more will be released as the map is completed.
