This is the Robo Revenge Squad. This is a co-op twin stick shooter (or brawler if you choose a melee weapon). I made it with a few friends. We had experience with gamedev, but frankly, I think this is our first project.
It’s a game I wanted to play with. Create your own combat robot from everyday items and authorize it in different missions within different campaigns.
Created a playable version and raised money. After that, I started early access on my PC and received great feedback. A few years later, the full version was finally completed. One to four players can play the game not only on the PC but also on the console.
We have a lot of inspiration and can’t identify anything concrete. I like the retrofuturism style that combines Americana and science fiction from the 1950s. You can see some similarities between the everyday items that make our robots and the household items that were advertised at the time in the 1950s.
The obvious inspiration that comes to mind is especially the style of Pixar movies. Wally.. Sure, we saw it and loved it, but it’s not correct to say that it was a great inspiration for us. Maybe unknowingly.
Anyway, we are here with a game with its own charm and soul!This is our Robo Revenge Squad… Not necessarily known in this title.It’s traditional Used: Frankie’s Revenge.. why? Because all battle robots are named Frankie. I changed it to something more punchy.
Can you quit my job and make a game? You can do it. It will be difficult. It is dangerous. Is it worth it? I hope so. This is the best game developer can trust, and we hope you enjoy it.
