Inside the Backrooms is an Early Access co-op horror game where you explore each room and figure out how to open new areas. Each room also becomes more dangerous as the ‘entities’ do their best to hinder you while you search for clues and solve puzzles.
One of the first major obstacles you are likely to encounter is the elevator code. I need to find this 4-digit code to proceed, but it’s not at all clear what to do to figure it out. If you’re scratching your head, here’s how to solve the elevator code in the backroom so you can step into the next area.
Inside the Backrooms elevator code: how to find it
When you get to the elevator room, you’ll find 8 large square walls with 4 sections on each side. There should be numbers 1 to 4 on the right side and a “#” on the back. These basically show the opposite number sequence to indicate the elevator code.
The code seems to be randomized, so you’ll have to figure it out yourself. So if #1 is directly opposite the number “8” and #2 is facing “5”, the first two digits of the code will be “85”. Continue until you have four numbers. Once completed, you will have code for the elevator.
It’s actually a lot easier than it sounds, but if that doesn’t work, short video (opens in new tab) should help you.
