The Anniversary Update includes a New Game + Mode with new combats, challenges, and unique enemies. There are also skill-based spirit guide trials, including wave defense mode, obstacle courses, and boss rematches. There is also a system called Charmstones, which can be equipped to give advantages and disadvantages in combat, allowing for a more customizable playstyle.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a gorgeous animated story about a young woman who works as a spirit guide to free spirits trapped in a forgotten village and help them move on to the next life. She is aided by her lovely and powerful spirit companion Lot.

The Anniversary Update has cosmetic upgrades to boot. Kena’s outfit, unlocked in the Spirit Guide Trial, and a cute little lot silly hat. Along with that comes an upgraded photo mode.
