Michael Waldron (executive producer of Loki, writer of Multiverse Of Madness, creator of Starz’s Heels) has reportedly been hired to write Avengers: Secret Wars.according to deadline According to an unnamed source, Waldron “appears to be in line” for upcoming MCU projects.
Along with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Secret Wars was unveiled at this year’s Comic-Con as part of Marvel’s Phase 5 and Phase 6 reveal plans. Phase 6 will begin on November 8, 2024 with Fantastic 4 and will end in 2025. In a pair of new Avengers movies. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is set to hit theaters on his May 2nd of that year, and Avengers: Secret Wars will follow on his November 7th.
At Comic-Con, Marvel boss Kevin Feige explained that Phases 4, 5, and 6 make up what is now called the Multiverse Saga. Waldron, who is also the writer and producer of Rick and Morty, is reportedly at the forefront of an Avengers movie after meetings between potential writers and Marvel in September. Waldron’s prolific work and his strong track record with Marvel (he also wrote Doctor Strange in his Multiverse of Madness) don’t make his choice a big surprise, but these still-far projects take shape. It’s definitely news because it’s starting to be.
Marvel has not commented on Waldron’s news.
