Producer Yoshimi Yasuda Lollipop Chainsaw PS5 Remake Under development. Through a tweet on his official account, he took a “more realistic approach to graphics” now that the game remake was released in 2023 and the team “has access to a higher spec console”. I have confirmed that I have it.
Which platform could Lollipop Chainsaw Remake be on?

Today, Yasuda made a long statement on Twitter in both English and Japanese about why Goichi Suda’s cute zombie rusher, the remake of Lollipop Chainsaw, is behind. With the release of the original game on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in June 2012, I regret that “for various reasons, fans can’t easily play Lollipop Chainsaw” on the current console. This is why Yasuda’s Dragami Game bought Lollipop. Kadokawa Games chainsaw IP and “decided to develop remake”.
Yasuda is particularly excited to recreate the game on the consoles of the current generation.
In addition, we’ll take a more realistic approach to graphics, as we’ll have access to a higher-spec console.
It has not yet been confirmed if this means that a remake of the Lollipop Chainsaw PS5 is planned with the PC, Xbox series, and / or switch versions, or will only be available on the PS4 and Xbox One. However, the PS5 remake seems quite reasonable given the intent of developing the game on the latest consoles and the implicit goal of making the game accessible to more people in the future.
Yasuda’s announcement also confirms that Warner Bros. supports Dragami Games, but it’s unclear if Warner Bros. provides support as a publisher and / or developer. While the original staff of the game is working on a remake, some of the 15 licensed songs on the original soundtrack will be replaced with new music.
In other news, Sony has patented an interesting gameplay playback system that presents a “What If” scenario, and YouTuber is showcasing an early PS3 development kit and Vita prototype.
