When Nintendo announced the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass, the company stated that the pass would focus on remastering the course from older games. However, Wave 2 of the pack has a tasty twist on the official pass. This is a completely new course.
Today, Nintendo shared a trailer for Wave 2, which will be released on August 4th. Fans quickly noticed Sky-High Sundae, a brand new track for the Mario Kart franchise. The ice cream-themed track will be the first original course to be added to the Booster Course Pass.
The pack also regains some fan favorites, including Waluigi pinball and mushroom gorges, through cub and propeller cups. Here’s a complete list of what Wave2 brings to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe:
- Sky High Sunday
- Kalimari Desert (N64)
- Mario Circuit 3 (SNES)
- Mushroom Gorge (Wii)
- Sydney Sprint (Tour)
- Waluigi Pinball (DS)
- Snowland (GBA)
- New York Minute (Tour)
The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass was first unveiled at Nintendo Direct in February. To play these courses in single player, players must purchase a pass or own a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, but they are free to use in multiplayer rotation.
There are four more Waves scheduled to be released from now to the end of 2023, by which time Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will include more than half of all the tracks created for the series.
