During the FTC-Microsoft trial, Microsoft chiefs made it clear that they were “willingly” to do away with proprietary games, but that’s what the company has to do because of Sony.
According to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s testimony today (via) The Verge), commenting on the company’s strategy and future plans. When asked about the game being exclusive to one platform he replied:
“If it’s up to me, I’d love to do away with all exclusive content on consoles, but I can’t define that as a player with a particularly low share of the console market. A dominant player there. [Sony] That’s the world we live in because we’ve used monopolies to define market competition. I have no love in that world. ”

Speaking of Game Pass yesterday June 27th, PlayStation head Jim Ryan claimed that multiple publishers have raised issues with the service. In Ryans’ affidavit, he said, “We have spoken with all of our publishers that they unanimously don’t like Game Pass because it destroys value.”
