Released by Nvidia New Game Ready Driver (opens in new tab) It highlights some key features of Modern Warfare 2 while addressing issues introduced in the latest driver release.
We have previously reported these issues with driver 526.47. (opens in new tab)—This update caused stability issues in Modern Warfare 2, causing “flashing corruption” during gameplay. Nvidia’s previous recommendation was for CoD players to skip his 526.47 entirely or manually download the hotfix from the company’s website separately from the GeForce Now app.
Update 526.86 bundles these fixes to further improve stability and performance. It also mentions support for DLSS and Reflex, which have been present in the game since launch. Modern Warfare 2 also supports his three other methods (opens in new tab) AI upscaling including AMD FSR image reconstruction. Given a choice, I usually prefer his DLSS over FSR, but your mileage may vary.
Reflex, on the other hand, is a proprietary technology that minimizes input lag that requires an Nvidia GPU as well as a compatible monitor and mouse. Check out our Nvidia Reflex guide for more information. (opens in new tab) Since its release, this highly detailed tech has been a perfect fit for the sweaty and competitive world of Call of Duty.
Before this update, I was already impressed with Modern Warfare 2’s graphical prowess, and it’s nice to see some of the best CoD in years. (opens in new tab) Refined and supported.
