New Cores, Shootouts and Combat Maps
Showdown (core map, launch): A faithful recreation of the map that originally appeared in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Showdown consists of a central courtyard, a two-level structure surrounding it, and a perimeter. Operators attempting to cross the courtyard will face stiff resistance from enemies firing between the arched pillars, but any cover on the ground will give them a chance to counter enemy fire. increase. The Perimeter features long, narrow lanes for long-range combat, but locked metal gates to the north and south prevent players from entering straight through.
Notice the walkway leading in and out of the courtyard walkway. Two staircases lead from his first floor to the upper passageway, with direct access to the top floor by crossing over the outer metal gate. Versatility is key here, as you need to quickly switch between close-range and long-range combat. Operators equipped to handle long map line-of-sights and sharp turns are well on their way to victory.
Kunstenhal district (core map, launch): Located between Vondel’s stadium, police station and museums, the Kunstenal district is at war with the medium-sized arts districts, where street murals adorn the walls of various shops and townhouses.
The map’s classic three-lane design guides operators along narrow side streets and central plazas. A tight spot inside he provides access between the three main routes, and a canal along the west side of the map gives the operator the chance to pass through the dangerous central staircase unseen. Keep your head on your head when returning to the main road, though, as the flat surface accommodates long-distance rejection along its entire length. Use Shadow Squadron trucks and other vehicles in the area for cover as you move to attack.
As you approach the central square, watch out for enemies on the stairs. Attack from multiple angles to distract your opponents, or slip through a nearby archway to scare them off before taking your position. Visibility is poor due to the slope of the trail on the east side, but it is possible to climb to the border of the museum for a better overhead view.
Other launch maps include the Mercado and Penthouse shootout maps, and the Mawidze Marsh and Akhdar village battle maps. Additional multiplayer his core maps will be added in a mid-season update.
