Mortal Kombat 1‘s first Kombat Pack was leaked shortly before the game’s release. Homelander, Peacemaker, Omni-Man, Takeda, Ermac, and Quan Chi have all been confirmed in separate trailers, and that leak ultimately turned out to be accurate.
Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack contains 6 base characters
Another official Mortal Kombat account released a trailer shortly before its reveal at Comic-Con, while NetherRealm Studios released an official trailer shortly after. Homelander and Peacemaker appear to have caricatures of Antony Starr and John Cena, respectively, but it’s unclear if the stars will be voiced. By the way, Sylvester Stallone and Peter Weller voiced Rambo and Robocop respectively in Mortal Kombat 11, but Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn’t the voice of the Terminator.
Quan Chi and Ermak have been popular Mortal Kombat characters for many years. But Takeda is a relative newcomer. He is the son of Kenji Takahashi and made his debut in Mortal Kombat X. The pack also includes his five cameos of his fighters: Tremor, Chameleon, Mavado, Johnny Cage, and Fera.
Homelander is the only one given a release date, and is expected to enter the game around Spring 2024. The Kombat Pack also includes his one-week early access to each character, as well as his Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny Cage, which was already announced.
This wasn’t all NetherRealm showed in the panel, as the first trailer had several other characters revealed.
