NetherRealm Studios attended Comic-Con in a big way to show off even more. Mortal Kombat 1. The studio held a panel promising three trailers, the first of which revealed a lot of characters.
The latest Mortal Kombat 1 trailer is obviously full of points
The trailer showed Baraka, Li Mei, and Tanya being included in the main roster as playable characters, the latter two appearing in the 3D era of the game. Tanya was her DLC fighter in Mortal Kombat X, but Lee May hasn’t been playable since her 2006 Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. Darius also appeared in the trailer as a cameo fighter, which also hasn’t been playable since Armageddon. The trailer features gameplay sections for each character, allowing users to see their unique traits and styles.
A portion of the story revolves around Umgadi, a gathering of warrior priestesses chosen from Outworld’s eldest daughter. As if Kitana’s father had been killed under Lee May’s command, it was to protect the royal family that was causing the conflict.
This panel features several of the game’s stars, including Kelly Hu and Yuri Lowenthal. Fu previously appeared in the Mortal Kombat series as D’Vorah, Cindel, and Frost in Mortal Kombat X, and reprise the role of D’Vorah in Mortal Kombat 11. She will also play Ashura in the upcoming Mortal Kombat animated movie Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match. Lowenthal plays Smoke in Mortal Kombat 1.
Mortal Kombat 1 has already been hit with several leaks, one of which also revealed details about a batch of crossover DLC characters that were finally revealed at Comic-Con. NetherRealm has released a second story trailer featuring other characters like Motaro and Reiko, but it’s unclear if they’re playable or just characters.
