Multiversus Season 1 kicked off today with the game’s first Battle Pass. Players were hoping to get some of that back through rewards, as players would have to purchase his Gleamium, a premium currency, to get the Battle Pass in the first place, but that wasn’t the case.
MultiVersus Season 1 Battle Pass Rewards
The MultiVersus Season 1 Battle Pass includes 50 levels of new rewards for players to unlock, including character variants, taunts, stickers, banners, toasts, and XP boosts. Here is the full list of Season 1 Premium Battle Pass rewards:

One type of reward missing from the MultiVersus Season 1 Battle Pass is Grimium. Traditionally, in games with a battle pass, players faced an upfront cost to purchase the battle pass. However, you can earn enough premium currency or points throughout the season to redeem it for the next season’s Battle Pass. This means that those who play the game the most don’t have to keep paying for future Battle Passes. MultiVersus seems to have gotten around this. The game’s Battle Pass can only be purchased using his Gleamium, which is nowhere in the above list of rewards. This means players will have to purchase more premium currency to get future Battle Passes.
This sparked controversy among players who were disappointed that MultiVersus did not follow a similar premium currency pattern to games such as Fortnite and Call of Duty. He points out the high Gleamium value of the $10 cost over 4 months and all other rewards players receive at 50 levels of the pass. Developer Player First Games has not commented yet.
