Survios has announced that it will work with 20th century games to create a new single-player action horror game set in the next world. alien.. At the moment there are relatively few details, but we have confirmed that the game is under development for consoles, PCs and VR. In other words, I was even able to confirm that I would make my debut with PSVR2.
What we know about Survios’ new alien game
When Alien: Dark Descent was announced in June, many wanted a game comparable to Alien: Isolation. Tindalos Interactive’s team-based action game may not be that game, but the new title from Survios sounds more promising. At some point between aliens and alien movies, the game becomes “an intense single-player action horror game set in the iconic alien world.” The original story features a veteran who is strong in fighting revenge against Xenomorph, but Survios didn’t reveal any further details about the story. Luigi Priore, Vice President of Disney, Pixar, and 20th Century Games, said:
The vast alien universe is full of secret stories and gives you the opportunity to create compelling original games. We are excited to share our passion for aliens and work with teams like Survios to immerse our fans in new worlds and experiences.
Survios has considerable pedigree in VR games with previous titles such as The Walking Dead Onslaught, Battlewake, Creed: Rise to Glory, Westworld Awakening, Electronauts, Sprint Vector, Raw Data, Puzzle Bobble: Vacation Odyssey. However, it has recently begun to make inroads into standard PC and console games with titles such as Creed Champions: BigRumbleBoxing. It’s still unclear if the new alien game will look like the latter, but it could be one of the PSVR2 games being developed using Unreal Engine 5.
In other news, the God of War Ragnarok Jotner version sold out within 5-10 minutes in many different regions. Elsewhere, Sony has a Destiny deal, but Destiny 2 isn’t exclusive to the PlayStation.
