But “what exactly is a skill deck and how can it help you maximize your chances of killing zombies?” you ask. First, we need to talk about skill cards.

Skill Cards are collectible items gained by leveling up and salvaged from slain zombie enemies hidden throughout the streets of LA. Equipping Skill Cards grants the Slayer special powers, abilities, and boons, making them useful in combat situations.
Some of them make you faster, more agile, or stronger. Some give you a buff every time you perform a perfect decapitation, while others set a zombie that drops a kick on fire, turning bags of rotten flesh into flying and burning. There are cards that can do that.
Whether you’re boosting your stats to become the ultimate killer, or using acrobatic attacks to take down zombies for maximum style points, there’s a skill card to suit your needs.
We want you to have complete freedom to play, regardless of which of the 6 Slayers you choose to fight HELL-A. That’s why we’ve made most skill cards applicable to everyone.

Skill decks allow you to browse your collection of skill cards and choose which ones to equip.
Let’s say you come across a zombie in a slightly more difficult pose than your typical tottering shell. Perhaps they go to the gym and look like they’re eating veggies. Wow.
It’s time to make sure you’re using the right skills to get the job done. That is why Dead Island 2 skillshis deck is now fully remappable at any time.
Whenever you want to tweak a single card or completely change your playstyle (from tanky brawler to agile assassin, for example), it’s easy to do.
Part of the magic of building a skill deck is experimenting with all the different perks and abilities that skill cards grant to find synergies that are super fun and effective for your playstyle.
But to help get you started, here are some of Dambuster’s team’s favorite pairings.
it’s getting hot
Combine the Dash Strike ability with the Slayer skill Hammer Fist to unleash a strike that can launch zombies into the stratosphere. This card combination is perfect for kicking zombies off the roof of a Beverly Hills mansion and pushing them into a pool of acid and other dangerous substances. Hit by a zombie wearing a grenade belt? Pull the pin and send it into your own kind of crowd. explosive result.
scorched earth
mix ground pound Ability to use the Survivor skills Flare Up and Quake to create a truly devastating ground smash that knocks down zombies and sets the floor beneath them on fire. If crowd control is important to you, this is for you — swarming walkers? Complete “Hulk Smash!”
