Nintendo’s traditional July was hit by a few games, but it was a good month for Big N’s RPGs.
All data is based on sales from July 3 to 30, unless otherwise stated. Third parties can contribute to digital sales, but Nintendo does not.
Hardware considered the Switch the best-selling system based on unit sales, while the PlayStation 5, as usual, led in dollar sales due to higher hardware selling prices.
Nintendo made two software debuts during the reporting period. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 made it to his #4 spot on the total sales chart, making it the top game on Switch, despite his two-day sales of physical sales only. A week ago he debuted on July 22nd and Live a Live, which debuted at $50 (compared to $60 for the XC3), was his eighth best-selling game on Switch, combined. It didn’t make the top 20. Other software debuts in July were Bandai Namco’s Digimon Survive, which reached No. 8 overall and No. 9 on Switch.
Other Nintendo titles in the top 20 total: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at No. 7, Kirby and the Forgotten Land at No. 11, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at No. 12, Animal Crossing: New Horizons at No. 13, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus was 15th and Nintendo Switch Sports was 16th. (Mario Party Superstars was the 10th best-selling Switch game of the period.) Among third parties, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was No. 3, MLB The Show 22 was No. 6, Minecraft was No. 9, and Overwatch was No. 9. Ranked 14th, Monster Hunter Rise (including Sunbreak). Expansion) rounded out the top 20.
