Nintendo posted a series of videos this week promoting its new indie title. This includes multiple titles available on video day.
Day 1 (Monday)
- The deck-building roguelike Floppy Knights announced a 2.0 update with the release of the Switch that day. This update added additional playable characters, new cards, and new stages.
- Paratopic developer Arbitrary Metric’s next title has been announced as Roman Sands: Rebuild and is currently scheduled for release in Summer 2023. It’s a horror adventure that claims to be set for “the end of time.”
- Dog photography game Pupperazi has confirmed the Switch version, which is set to release in “early 2023.”
- Action RPG Mortal Shell launched a “complete version” on Switch on Monday. This includes the main game and his two post-launch expansions.
Day 2 (Tuesday)
- 3D exploration game The Gecko Gods has been confirmed for a 2023 release. Geckos can climb walls and cling to ceilings to solve puzzles.
- Launched today, The Captain is a side-scrolling exploration game that offers multiple endings for every encounter.
- Risk of Rain Returns, a remastered version of the classic roguelike game, launches in 2023.
- The Punchuin is a match-3 puzzle game developed by Xin En Multimedia (Fast RMX, The Touryst) and released on the same day. Similar to Wario’s Forest, but the puzzles are objective-based, such as completing a specific set of colors.
Day 3 (Wednesday)
- Previously released on PC, Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator has been announced for Switch. The potion designer plans to launch in Spring 2023.
- Sonority, a music-based 3D platformer, launched on the same day.
- Tin Hearts, a platformer centered around clockwork dolls, has confirmed that it will launch on Switch on April 20th.
- Also released was Sail Forth, a sailing-based adventure game.
Day 4 (Thursday)
- Melatonin, a game about dreams inspired by Rhythm Heaven, was released the same day the video was released.
- The afterimage of the time-traveling side-scrolling action game was displayed along with the release date of April 25th.
- The surreal “nod and shake” first-person adventure Smile for Me is out in the spring.
- The latest title from developer Necrosoft (Gunhouse, future Demonschool) has been released as Hyper Gunsport. This is his four-player game best summarized as “volleyball with guns.”
Day 5 (Friday)
- The action (shooting) roguelite Dust & Neon showed up in the “Early 2023” release window.
- Undying is an early 3D art style isometric adventure game, releasing in Spring 2023.
- A new trailer for Sea of ââStars (an RPG from the developers of The Messenger), but there was no release information beyond ‘2023’.
- The only shadow drop of the day and final week is Sports Story, which was announced for a “December” release at last month’s Indie World Presentation, a multisport follow-up to Golf Story, which hit Switch’s first year.
