Released for Wii in 2007 and 2010 respectively, No More Heroes is a series of quirky action-adventure games directed by Suda51, who has worked on other titles such as Killer7 and Lollipop Chainsaw. The two games were ported to PC last June, but the port has come under fire from the game’s community with complaints of broken achievements, animations, and audio. This Switch version was co-developed by NMH developers Grasshopper Manufacture and Engine Software. This third-party studio had previously backed his PC port of his well-received Killer7. Perhaps that relationship didn’t work out for his two No More Heroes games, and as a result XSEED made the decision to internally fix the release.
As to why XSEED has made the decision to release these upcoming patches now, It has to do with the fact that NMH 2’s 2021 follow-up, No More Heroes 3, launched on PC this week.
