Battlestar Galactica Deadlock’s fun and strategic turn-based strategy (opens in new tab) is free on Steam for a limited time. Everyone is welcome to participate. At about six years old, his BSG Deadlock is showing its age, but even those who haven’t seen the old sci-fi classics or his 2004 reboot have a lot to offer.

So go get that thing. Blending 3D tactical experience with co-solved Starfleet combat is a lot of fun. Queue an instruction, see how it executes, and do it again. I loved it upon its release, enjoying its emphasis on mankind’s battle for survival against Cylon creations of overwhelming and technologically superior robots.

The cool thing is that the free version you get now has been enhanced with years of development along with Deadlock’s many DLC releases. Between 2018 and 2020, Deadlock received many updates and upgrades to both the interface and the general play experience.
