Overwatch 2 Season 4 has arrived with some changes to the game such as removing the map pool in Competitive mode and introducing a new hero, Lifeweaver. In addition to these changes, the new content is an all-new Battle Pass, featuring Mythic Sigma his 80-tier rewards, including his skin. This season’s Battle Pass is space opera-themed and offers some cosmetics that won’t look out of place in Star Wars. This ties in with some skins that will be available later in the season, as well as the upcoming event, Starwatch: Galactic Rescue. This includes the Galactic Emperor Sigma Skin, Tier 80 Rewards, Infinite Thea Mercy, Intergalactic Smuggler Ash, and Extraterrestrial Winston.
Blizzard has announced two events for the season: Starwatch and Pride Event. The latter kicks off in his June, which is Pride Month. In addition to this new content and upcoming events, Blizzard has made several highly requested updates. In Competitive Frontlines, rank decay has been removed so players are no longer automatically dropped to a lower rank at the start of a season. In Season 4, the map pool has been removed, no longer restricting the maps you can play. Some minor changes include group his skills his rating displayed every time a competition starts, allowing players to see their own win/loss record in the mode.
Another support hero is Lifeweaver, a new hero who can grab teammates from afar and pull them to safety. Like previous heroes, Lifeweaver is automatically unlocked at Tier 45 of the Battle Pass’s premium version of him or the free version. Lifeweaver also won’t be able to play competitively for his first two weeks of the season. Quick he offers the opportunity to learn the hero by playing before picking him in a competitive match. Here’s everything you can unlock with the Overwatch Season 4 Battle Pass.
