Blizzard has announced the temporary disabling of Mei from Overwatch 2 following reports of a bug related to Mei’s Ice Wall ability. According to the statement, these bugs allowed players to reach unintended locations. The team is currently working to address the issue and aims to get Arctic Explorers playable again on November 15th.

In addition to forcing characters into restricted areas, some players have reported issues with Mei’s Ice Wall not blocking attacks or lifting team members. Mei is not the first character removed from Overwatch 2. Earlier this month, both Torbjorn and Bastion were removed from the game after players reported an ability bug. The pair was reintroduced into the game on his October 25th with his Junkertown map.
