Nihon Falcom is preparing two Ys titles for 2023 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the venerable series.
Ismemoire Fergana no Oath is a remastered version of the action RPG that was released on the PSP in 2010, and will be released in Japan in the spring of 2023. The game is fully voiced (including the main character of the series, Adol his Christian) and gives you the option to switch to PSP graphics or HD graphics on the fly.
Ys X: Nordics, an all-new action-RPG set in and around the northern waters called Obelia Bay, launches in late 2023. For this reason, players will be able to directly control sea ships for the first time in the series.
Both titles are currently only confirmed for release in Japan. While NIS America has been publishing and localizing Falcom’s games since 2019, Felgana’s Oath was specifically localized by her former partner at Falcom, her XSEED.
