Introducing Duo Mode
It’s been really fun to see you guys striving for solo mode champions in playtest sessions. The fun begins in earnest on his August 11th when Duos Mode goes live. Fight side by side with friends, share loot, protect each other, and win together!
Duo Mode takes all the familiar moment-to-moment gameplay from the Solo Brawler Royale experience and twists it into something completely new. Every situation takes on a new set of strategic questions that you and your partner must answer. Do you want to? When one is thrown out, the other is left without a backup, increasing the danger. Want to move and loot together? If you get too close, the player will collect and share items for one of him. Being too far apart leaves them vulnerable to sneak attacks from aggressive duos, which can overwhelm them in numbers.
In Duo mode, you start with only 8 slots for your stats and have a little less max health than playing solo. Additionally, you will lose access to the Superstar Comeback system. If your teammate is killed, you’ll be given extra max health slots and stat slots to keep you involved in combat. Don’t worry though, running out of health in duo mode doesn’t mean you’ll be immediately KO’d.
When a teammate runs out of health, they go into a downed state and need help. To help a teammate, simply stand close to him and press the interact button (circle) on him so you can cheer and stand up. This takes him 30 seconds, but if his teammates are downed again, he has less and less time to help them. Sounds simple? That is… until the enemy team hovers over your friends and tries to stop you. Help your enemies quickly. As a bonus, trying to help a teammate while Superstar mode is active will help them twice as fast.
Communication and teamwork are the keys to victory. share the item. Go for free builds. Let’s help each other when the enemy is attacking. You can kill your teammates, but you won’t hurt them (unless water is involved). For real thrills, try tossing enemies into the air and having teammates connect follow-up attacks. Create your dream team combo and rock your fans.
