Recent state of play It was a dud in the eyes of PlayStation fans, but according to a new report from Jeff Grubb, it could be due to plans for a PlayStation Showcase ahead of E3 2023.
Big Game Reveal Saved Before E3 2023 PlayStation Showcase
Jeff Grubb spoke on his Game Mess podcast about Sony’s plans to show off the game at a showcase ahead of E3 2023, which was supposedly postponed from last year.
Grubb said: [Sony] ” This means fans will be able to see games like Spider-Man 2 at that show rather than at the State of Play event.

Grubb also elaborated on the real reason for the State of Play presentation, stating that it was an “obligation” and that “Sony is fulfilling its obligations to its co-marketing partners.” This basically means that the publisher has struck a deal with Sony to show off their games on a bigger stage.
In other State of Play news, Baldurs Gate 3 is coming to PS5 and Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League got an extended gameplay demo at the show.
