Another day, another rumor about the PlayStation State of Play planned for September 2024 surfaces. This time around, it seems Sony Interactive Entertainment plans to show off some new games next week, on September 24, 2024.
PlayStation State of Play September 2024 possibly happening next week
During this week’s episode of Giant Bomb’s Game Mess Mornings, Jeff Grubb touched on Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered’s recent rating by the ESRB. He then iterates it could potentially be revealed at the next PlayStation State of Play on September 24, 2024.
“It could be announced at the next State of Play that is probably coming up on the 24th,” says Grubb. “It is almost certainly happening on the 24th.”
Grubb has a fairly solid track record with leaks. However, like with more information like this, it does not mean that the alleged PlayStation State of Play for September 2024 is happening next week. It just means someone Grubb believes is reliable told him it will happen on that date.
Grubb and co-host Lucy James also discussed PlayStation’s recent history with remasters. During that discussion, Grubb stated there is another remaster in the works that may be revealed at this PlayStation State of Play, and it is less exciting than Horizon Zero Dawn.
“There is some other remaster kind of in the works that will be even less exciting I’ve heard,” says Grubb. “And that was when it was like, and that’s definitely not Bloodborne.”
PlayStation State of Play September 2024 rumors have been floating around since May. Recently, a leaker known as BrianTheInsider claimed it would take place on September 19. However, that information was disputed.
According to the ESRB rating, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will launch on PS5 and PC. It is reported the remaster will boast overhauled visuals, new accessibility features, and VRR support.
