Nintendo wasted no time with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom return feature, where players redeem items from the Switch’s news channel.
This time, the third free item giveaway is the Lizalphos Tail and Traveler’s Sword to “whip your enemies into shape.” Yes, in this crafting session, we’ll be making an improvised whip for Link. Here’s how to redeem the items you want:

1. Select the “News” icon in the home menu of your Switch.
2. Scroll down to The Kingdom of Zelda Tears news article “Whip your enemies into shape!”
3. Click “Play Now” in the news article.
4. Launch Zelda and load the game files
5. “Receive Lizalphos’ Tail and Traveler’s Sword”
Nintendo has shared some details about the whip’s possible elemental properties.
“Occasionally after defeating Lizalphos, the tail is about to be picked up. Did you know? When you fuse it to a weapon, it becomes a makeshift whip that stretches and retracts when swung! This is a very useful tool, allowing you to hit enemies from a safe distance.
“And there’s one more thing. If the tail you use belongs to Fire Breath or Electric Lizalfos, the weapon retains the properties of the original element and can whip with fire, lightning, and more!”
