The release date window for the PSVR 2 headset is early 2023, according to tweets published by PlayStation Twitter accounts in many regions. England,Canada, Japan, FranceNew Zealand, Australia, Latin AmericaThis is in line with many of the rumors that have been going on for months suggesting the device won’t arrive until 2023, destroying all rumors that were hoping for a holiday 2022 release. also said PSVR 2 mass production isn’t expected to begin until later this year. Sony appears to be targeting an initial shipment of 1.5 million units, surpassing his 1 million of his PS5 consoles that shipped within his first eight months of its lifecycle.
Some may bemoan PSVR 2 wasn’t released during this holiday season, but it gives Sony a chance to determine its launch lineup. PSVR 2 will include 20+ “major” games he said at launch, but we’ve heard very little about them. Of course, the only confirmed first-party game is Horizon Call of the Mountain. In other news, Star Wars KOTOR Remake development has reportedly been transferred to Saber Interactive. Elsewhere, Project Cars and Project Cars 2 have been delisted, and fans are upset about this.
