In this week’s Pure Nintendo Podcast, Gemma and Kirk discuss characters, tracks, and the future of the series on the latest wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC.
Last week, we touched countless games from Lara Croft to Garden Simulator and shared our excitement for the next wave of Mario Kart DLC. This week we spend some time on our newest track and give our impressions of the Feather Cup and Cherry Cup courses. We talk about our favorite moments from the match, the characters we’ve tried so far, and who we’d like to see next. I also talk about the future of Mario Kart. Is it time to go open world?
Kirk will also outline the latest addition to the Zen Pinball FX series using the new engine. This free-to-download game allows players to choose which theme to download and play in the form of his DLC, but Kirk has some thoughts on how it works. Stay tuned for a joint review with Trev coming soon.
Gemma, on the other hand, is playing a retro-inspired action-adventure title called Bleak Sword DX with a black, white, and red aesthetic. It’s fun, tough, and packed with content, so keep an eye out for Jemma’s upcoming reviews.
Finally, we’re talking about Pokémon Sleep, a new app in beta that tracks your sleep while you collect Pokémon. This leads to discussions about other health-based apps like Pokémon Smile. Have you tried similar apps?
