Puzzling Places is really nice. A puzzle game best described as a 3D jigsaw puzzle. PSVR2The game leans towards its unique charm, allowing you to assemble 3D dioramas that would be difficult under normal circumstances or downright impossible to create as a traditional puzzle.
You get about 20 puzzles out of the box. These feature locales and settings from around the world, such as coastal towns in Italy, castles in Sweden, and more. The variety is impressive and it always feels like you’re building something new. It should be noted that there are also many expensive DLC packs available. It would have been nice to see that content included in the main game.
Luckily, working out what’s available can be fun and relaxing. You find yourself in a softly lit void that you can customize to tweak colors, lighting, and more.ambient music is Perfect, provides soothing backgrounds and entertaining audio cues. Depending on the puzzle you create, you can bring your face close to the environment and hear diegetic audio of what is happening in your image, such as a choir, church bells, or the white noise hum of a crowd. It’s all quite magical, and everything in the game works in concert to put you at ease.
Set the puzzle size from 25 to 400 Individual. Choosing 400 will occupy you for a few hours, but it’s worth it, especially on PSVR 2. The increased resolution makes a big difference here, as you can actually see details in puzzles in ways you couldn’t before. What was particularly surprising was that when I entered one of the environments, read Clarify one of the sticky notes.
We must pray that the game can be finished cooperatively. We had multiple hard crashes, one of which corrupted our save, wiping out nearly an hour of inexplicable time. Still, assuming the developer will issue a patch soon. As far as that goes, this is his PSVR2 at its most relaxed.
