Square will be busier than Nintendo on its own platform from now until February. did you know who?
Like every week, another Square Enix game release is announced soon. A third Voice of Cards game was announced during his September 13th Nintendo Direct, but was not mentioned in the Direct. This is probably because at least five other Square Enix games had their fair share of time devoted to his 40-minute presentation, from Square he had two Shadow his drops. Here’s his demo from Apple Arcade’s cast-off Various Daylife and Harvestella’s prologue, released in November. As a rough estimate, Square Enix has released 10 Switch games between today and the end of February 2023. By comparison, Nintendo himself currently has only four games on his calendar for the same period. I thought it would be interesting for him to intuitively think about the ranking of the 10 games in the future. Note: This is my opinion. If you know my top list of 3DS games for him, the top choices are pre-determined.
10. Diofield Chronicle
I fell in love with DioField Chronicle when it was released earlier this year. It looked like Fire Emblem with its weird real-time battle system, but in the demo released in August, the level was set to such an extent that I couldn’t believe this was a game made for me. The “real-time tactical battle system” is also interesting, but in the end I would like to wait until the triangular strategy is cleared or the tactics are established in Tactics Ogre Reverse. Notably, based on the demo, the Switch version seems to work fine. You can find out more about this game soon. It will be released on September 22nd.
9. Life is Strange: Arcadia Bay Collection
Full disclosure: I have never played a Life is Strange game. I’ve heard they are very good and this might be my entry point. Finally reaching his September 27th release date in August, following last year’s Switch release of the latest sequel, this remastered collection of the first game and subsequent prequels is finally coming to Nintendo platforms. On other platformers, the package received mixed reviews on the grounds that while the quality of the game was present, the actual remastering was rough. The Switch has never seen these games before, so I don’t think it will dull the quality of the reported story.
8. Romancing Sa Ga: Minstrel Song Remastered
At one point in the Switch’s life I was the Gaga of the saga, but now my cup is full and crammed with saga games. If you’re looking for games, the SNES classic Romancing SaGa 3, the solid PS1 RPG SaGa Frontier, and the new saga Scarlet Grace are all on Switch). An article about how so many Square Enix games come out in such a short timeframe, but it’s worth noting that a similar article could easily be made about how many games of the saga have been ported to the Switch. Minstrel Song Remastered is a remaster of the original PS2 Remake for the Super Nintendo, bringing the PS2 visuals to HD among a range of modern additions. I’ve never played the original Romancing saga or its PS2 remake, so even if I’m staring at a nearly untouched copy of Saga Frontier on the Switch and asking myself if I should play it, I don’t think I’ll ever get into this RPG. I am excited.
7. Tactics Ogreborn
Excited that the PSP remake of Tactics Ogre (never played before) is coming to modern platforms. For that alone, this should be high on this list, but I’m not going to lie. I agree with the criticisms about the price of this port and how nice pixelated visuals look with HD filters. but we have to accept the fact that Tactics Ogre is lower on this important list.
6. Dragon Quest Treasures
Dragon Quest Treasures, scheduled for release on December 9th, appears to be in a similar style to the Dragon Quest Monsters spin-off, but judging by the reactions I’ve seen to the game, this one has a different presentation. It seems that. It will be an old spinoff. Truth be told, this was the Dragon Quest game I was least excited about, so I wasn’t too thrilled when the 2022 release was announced. ready to embrace the twist of The real-time combat feels cozy and the visuals are nice. I hope it works well on Switch.A recurring trend on this list, you might have to play Dragon Quest Builders 2 for 10+ hours. My RPG spinoff time has been greatly reduced.
5. Octopath Traveler II
Octopath Traveler is overrated. I feel like the fact that I’m personally responsible for overestimating it makes me either the best or the worst person to make that statement. A fun story that applies to most of the reviews. My first child she was born 5 weeks early and spent several weeks in the NICU. Looking back, every game I reviewed in the summer of 2018 definitely had some sort of “stressful experience.” I can recall him being torn between an 8 or 9 on the Octopus score, but I just rounded it up because that was my way of thinking. Anyway, I love Octopus’ visuals, soundtrack, and combat system. Anyone who wants to drag the story can go right away. I do not claim For me, the important part of this game is what I love. I enjoyed spending time in that world, playing around with the unique character abilities and combat system shamelessly stolen from Megaten. I hope Octopath Traveler II keeps its style and cleans up the rough edges in the writing and story his presentation. If so, 9 may be the appropriate rating as of 24 February 2023.
4. NieR: Automata – The End of YoRHa Edition
Good bro: You got me. It’s been a while since everyone raved about his NieR: Automata back in 2017. I’m gone I play the damn game The Switch port looks good enough, and based on reputation alone, you should give this game a try.
3. Harvestera
I love what I’ve played in the Harvestera demos so far. It’s a little late in the early days, but this seems like the kind of game I always wanted Rune Factory to be. That’s exactly what I was trying to find out from the demo. Your save progress will carry over to the final game on November 4th.
2. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion
The difference between this and Tactics Ogre is that the version you get on Switch of Crisis Core looks like a bigger remaster. Since the Switch version is multi-platform, you may wonder if it will work, but I’ve always wanted to play Crisis Core as I’ve never owned a PSP. The silliness of Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s storytelling experience. Dating December 13th, Crisis Core appears to be relatively faithful to the PSP original, and it’s wild to be in a world where Final Fantasy VII and its Sony-exclusive prequel are both on the Switch. What tricks would it take to get the remake on Switch…
1. Theatrism last measure
I truly believe that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call is one of the best 3DS games ever made and the 3DS is one of the best platforms ever made. Due to its transitive nature, that means Theatrhythm is one of the best games ever made. We’ve been lamenting that Theatrhythm might be trapped on the 3DS when the eShop shuts down, but Square Enix has almost perfectly timed The Final Barline to launch on February 16, 2023. The game included nearly 400 songs at launch, including Octopus Traveler, NieR, and my beloved red-haired step-child Chrono Cross. It also includes a tremendous amount of extra content from various Square Enix games. On the 3DS, these games were all Final Fantasy extravaganzas with an important soundtrack focus. On Switch, that celebration seems to continue, with the rest of Square Enix’s impressive soundtrack catalog more organically included.
