Reader Opinion is where you share your thoughts in the comments section below. In my next article, I’ll cover some of my favorite replies.
Many highly anticipated PS5 games will be released this month, including Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Dead Island 2 and Minecraft Legends. But what’s the next game you’re most excited about in your PlayStation library? As always, we’ll be featuring our favorite answers in our next reader’s opinion.
our opinion
2023 isn’t exactly a stacked year for the PS5, and it’s a little worrying that a proper blockbuster is slightly spread out despite being at this stage in its lifecycle. When it comes to upcoming games, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the clear highlight of the year, with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 being the main highlight, with it far looming.
Personally, I’m most interested in Everywhere, an incredibly bizarre-sounding “multi-world” game. Developer Build a Rocket Boy is looking to build a platform that’s more than just a video game, and the sprawling social he’s got everything from hubs to tools for releasing full-fledged triple-A games in place. It’s either a big hit or a brutal failure, and that risk is what makes it so interesting.

In our last reader opinion, we asked if we would buy the long-rumored PS5 Pro and if it would become a reality.
Your responses were mixed, with many saying that the price was as much of an issue as the features offered.
“I just bought a PS5 a few weeks ago, so if it releases in 2024/2025, the answer is not for the PS5 Pro,” replied ArturoOlivoJr. “Have never upgraded to a Pro system before, and a $550 Pro system he can’t even imagine for $600.”
On the other hand, some question the very existence of the console.
“I don’t believe the PS5 Pro will happen, and it definitely won’t happen before the end of next year.
How many PS5 games are there so far? Three? four? How many are scheduled to be released by 2024? A few more, perhaps?
And so many people are even able to find it now, if they can afford it.
Having to release a console with all its limitations and shortcomings during a pandemic is bad enough, and releasing another console right after you sort it out is actually pretty insulting.
And what does it do? Don’t expect it to support 4K/60.
