From the beginning, First Contact Entertainment has focused on bringing quality experiences to virtual reality. Our team has always believed in pushing the boundaries of what is possible. So after four years of his support of Firewall Zero Hour, we’re proud to announce that we’re pushing those boundaries again with Firewall Ultra, our next live-controlled first-person multiplayer shooter for PlayStation VR2. .
Firewall Ultra is the next evolution of the Firewall franchise. We’ve been taking advantage of the new features that PS VR2 has to offer, and we’re happy to give you a sneak peek of how we used some of these features in Firewall Ultra.
Five years after the original game, the contractors and locations you came to love have evolved and moved into the next generation. All character models have been completely reworked as PS VR2 offers a higher level of visual fidelity in his 4K HDR. The map has also been completely overhauled, adding new areas and new textures. New locations and contractors are introduced, but it wouldn’t be a firewall game without weapons and gear featuring a deeper level of customization.
Over the last four years, we’ve listened to our community and are proud to announce that you’ll be playing Firewall Ultra on dedicated servers. We’re also adding rounds to the game so each match is a best of 3, adding a whole new PvE experience. Additionally, there is future content planned for post-launch, including new Contractors, maps, and weapons.
Additionally, Firewall Ultra takes advantage of new PlayStation VR2 Sense Technology features such as eye tracking. This allows you to swap weapons intuitively and view his HUD indicator via the PS VR2 headset’s built-in camera. Finally, we would like to thank all our wonderful community members. From meetups to international tournaments, the Firewall Zero Hour community far exceeded our expectations. For many people Firewall Zero Hour is more than just a game. It’s a virtual family gathering, a place to make new friends, and an escape from the comfort of your living room to another world. Many of our players have been with us since launch, have been extremely helpful to new players, and have created some of the best content we’ve seen so far (in fact, we’ve is playing continuously on my TV). It’s been a pleasure to watch you grow and evolve. We are excited to bring you a new experience with Firewall Ultra.
