Penko Park is a spooky and cute adventure game that takes you on a safari through wildlife. The travel guide paint explains the rules of this game very simply. Your main goal is to take pictures of the wildlife you find on your safari and learn more about them. You can also earn upgrades that allow you to interact with the park in new ways and visit new areas.
When you start the game for the first time, Paint explains how the park was abandoned. The game doesn’t have a big storyline, but as the game progresses, more details will be revealed.Penko’s park is full of strange creatures that look and have different personalities. Some can fly, some can swim, but most only sit or stand. The game has a spooky style, but in reality the creatures are very adorable and cute. And they give off a very comforting vibe, like the animals in a real safari vehicle that don’t seem to care.
Photographing living things is easy, but some of them are difficult. When you take a photo, it will appear on a scale of 1 to 3 stars. Naturally, we want to get 3 stars. To do this, you need to make sure that the creature is completely in the picture, that the camera is zoomed in to show more detail, and that the creature is unobstructed. Again, it’s easy to do if you’re in an open area while the creature is sitting still or sleeping, but it gets a little more difficult as the game progresses.
Every photo you take will be added to your scrapbook with your name on it. It is important to get 3 star pictures as it will give you more experience and eventually you will be able to win medals. Medals are added to your scrapbook and can unlock upgrades such as being able to choose new directions and places to turn, as well as use grappling hooks to collect plants and other things you come across. You can explore the park multiple times. There is a limit to the number of photos you can take in a single run, but you can always take more photos the next time you go through a safari. It is necessary to photograph the creatures in multiple situations, such as not only taking pictures while the creatures are awake, but also taking pictures while they are asleep.
The visuals in this game are really nice. It’s an illustration style, and it feels good in a way. Creatures may look weird and creepy, but the way they are drawn, especially their faces and the way they move, makes them look quite harmless and cute. The environment they live in is also beautiful, and there are many things to see, so it’s fun to play. Each creature fits its environment very well and it’s very clear that the creators put a lot of thought and effort into the game.
The controls are very basic and easy to understand. Every time you learn a new skill, you’ll see a short tutorial, and if you forget something, you can go back to your scrapbook and learn it again.
Penko Park is not that long. Probably hours. But if you want to complete the whole game, such as getting 3-star pictures of all creatures, collecting all plants and artifacts, etc. (this is my favorite as there is more to do and find) another part of the game). This will take some time.
Penko Park does a good job of combining spooky and cuteness, making it both rewarding and relaxing. It’s the type of game you can easily pick up and kill time with, and you can get lost in. Its graphics are really cool and I had no issues with glitches or animation looking good. Also, the travel guide paint is very sweet, which is also the theme of the whole game.
