Rocket League’s discontinued Swap Meet achievement to be replaced
Last year, Psyonix axed player trading in Rocket League, which impacted multiple Xbox achievements. One achievement, Swap Meet, was fully discontinued, leaving a stain on Rocket League’s achievement list. Now, Psyonix says it will be changing the requirements for Swap Meet.
“Heads up! We’re working on a new achievement to replace Swap Meet,” Psyonix said in a post on Steam. Swap Meet will be renamed to ‘New Profile Who This’ and “will be live on all platforms as part of our next update in June.”
The post also adds that if you previously unlocked Swap Meet on Steam before the change (we assume this will be the case on other platforms, too), the “new achievement will already be unlocked for you.” If you didn’t unlock Swap Meet before it was discontinued, the new achievement, with updated requirements, “will be unlockable for you once our next update is live.”
As the new achievement can already be viewed on Steam, we can see its unlock requirements, which are as follows: “Change your Player Banner, Avatar Border, and Player Title.” Nice and simple.
It’s always great to see developers go back and fix discontinued or unobtainable achievements, so hats off to Psyonix for ensuring Rocket League can be fully completed once more.
In other achievement news, Bloober Team has now fixed the Layers of Fear achievements after an update seemingly discontinued the game’s entire list.
