EVO 2022 takes place this weekend. As part of this fighting game extravaganza, various companies are releasing all sorts of relevant news. Lots of news related to Nintendo Switch.

Skullgirls – New DLC fighter announced
Skullgirls is celebrating its 10th anniversary. To mark this special milestone, the game gets her fourth character in Season Pass 1. Marie joins Annie, Umbrella and Black with her Dahlia. The team behind Skullgirls also announced that Skullgirls Mobile will be released next year.
Pocket Bravery announced for Switch
pocket bravely is a 2D pixel-themed fighter inspired by 90’s classics such as Street Fighter and The King of Fighters, while also incorporating influences from the Neo Geo Pocket Color generation of fighters. It focuses on “high level players” and has features that teach beginners how to develop and evolve.
There are kick and punch commands, traditional commands from popular fighting games, and all kinds of special moves. Each character also has an element, allowing them to perform elemental attacks, opening up new offensive and defensive possibilities. Blazing Strike postponed to Spring 2023
Aksys Games and developer RareBreed have announced that Blazing Strike has been delayed to Spring 2023 in order to improve the overall experience. Crossplay may also be on the cards.
Alongside this announcement, a new trailer for EVO 2022 was released.
Samurai Shodown Adds Rollback Netcode, But Not For Switch
SNK has confirmed that Samurai Shodown, originally released in 2019, will get rollback netcode for online around spring 2023. Available on all platforms except Nintendo Switch. Apparently it’s due to “technical limitations”. Source: EventHubs
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Cabinet Revealed
Arcade1Up adds Marvel vs. Capcom 2 cabinets to their home arcade line. It includes a total of 8 games, and pre-orders for the cabinet (with light-up marquee) will start on September 8, 2022 at he US$599.99. Cabinets have cross-play capabilities with other cabinets in some games, and support online play.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina – Summer Update, New DLC Fighters
The Head of Development of Melty Blood: Type Lumina thanks fans for playing and detailed update 1.30. This includes his Neco-Arc and Mash Kyrielight, two new fighters. please look(Thank you Gematsu).
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl – New Fighter Hugh Neutron
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl adds Jimmy Neutron’s Hugh Neutron as a US$4.99 DLC fighter. Alternatively, he’s available in the Season Pass pack. See him in action in the showcase above.
Dragon Ball Fighterz Getting Rollback Netcodes
While there are no plans for additional character DLC or balance changes, Dragon Ball FighterZ producer Tomoko Hiroki has announced that Rollback Netcode will be coming to the game. This feature will roll out on PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5. It will be rolled out to other platforms at a later date.
