Samsung Display unveils a newly developed 77-inch variant of its QD-OLED panel technology CES 2023Whether or not Samsung Electronics will follow suit with an announcement regarding a 77-inch QD-OLED TV remains to be seen, but we can expect more details early in the show.
Our first glimpse was at CES 2022 Samsung Display QD-OLED panel technology. At the time, I was very impressed with the image quality, the best I have ever seen.
Since then, QD-OLED panels have Samsung S95B TV, Sony A95K TVand 2 Dell Alienware MonitorEach of these products was hailed as best in class by both Digital Trends reviewers and the media industry at large. With perfect black levels and higher color brightness than LG’s WOLED technology, his QD-OLED screen is a real treat to the eye.
Still, complaints about limited screen size options were common among consumers. Many TV enthusiasts claim that they have postponed investing in new types of TVs until larger sizes are available, and now it is possible that his 77-inch QD-OLED TV is coming. I have. But that is not a foregone conclusion.
At CES 2022, Samsung Display guaranteed that its new QD-OLED panels would hit consumer TVs that year, but it couldn’t guarantee that the TVs would be manufactured by Samsung Electronics. Indeed, a few weeks later the existence of the S95B TV was officially announced, but my understanding is that there was some internal discussion about whether or when that TV would hit the market. about it.
Of course, if Samsung Electronics didn’t make TVs, Sony would. And with the new 77-inch size option, that’s probably the case.

We’ll bring you more details on all of these products as we continue our coverage of CES 2023.
