PlatinumGames has announced that Sol Cresta, the standard shmup from earlier this year, is getting an all-new wave of content in the form of DLC packages and free updates.
Free additions focus on expanding the game’s caravan mode and the usual tweaks to the player experience, while DLC is about roster. Consisting of three separate purchases (or his one bundle if you want to splash out all at once), the downloadable content includes Sol Cresta’s his 1980s predecessors Moon Cresta, Terra Cresta, Terra Cresta II Mandler Strikes Back.
Each of these new units grants unique perks on the battlefield, including retro attacks and combinations to disrupt your tactical approach to the game. There’s a taster of each new fighter in the trailer above, but for a full rundown of what each purchase brings, you can check it out below from PlatinumGames.
