Sonic Superstars is one of Sega’s fall big games, but the publisher hasn’t revealed an exact date. Some retailers seem to have decided to announce this date themselves. Sonic Superstars release date has been leaked.
When is the rumored Sonic Superstar release date?
game stop Target (although the latter deleted that part of the list) has closed Sonic Superstars on October 17th. Sega has only said the game will come out in the fall, and didn’t even reveal a date during its recent Sonic Central stream. There are plenty of other Sonic announcements as well.
If this date is ultimately accurate, Sonic would be three days before Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and one week before Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1, a week after him in Assassin’s Creed Mirage and launched on the same day as Alan Wake 2 and Lord of the Fallen. Sonic must not only compete directly with Mario, but also with other attacks from various video games.
And although the date is unofficial, Sega has officially posted an interview with producer Naoto Oshima and creative officer Takashi Iizuka. They talked about how they want to evolve the franchise, recreate the original pixel art in his new 3D style, and why the game has co-op.
