The third Sonic the Hedgehog movie is set to hit theaters in just over two years, with a December 20, 2024 release date. Sonic 3 Not much is known about him yet, but the announcement was accompanied by a gif of Sonic. It features both Tails and Knuckles, so we can assume that both characters will return in the next movie.
The upcoming film is part of Paramount’s ambitious plans for a Sonic the Hedgehog cinematic universe, including a Knuckles-centric TV show on Paramount+, with Idris Elba voicing the show. Replay the role.
The Knuckles spin-off series is set to come to Paramount+ in 2023 and will be the next entry in the franchise. It’s unclear at this time if other characters like Sonic and Tales will appear in the show, and how much the 2024 movie will follow from the events of the series, so how Paramount plans to handle Sonic. We’ll have to wait for… Cinematic Universe.
Sonic also has a new game coming this year, Sonic Frontiers. This is an open-world adventure game that promises to shake up the long-running franchise with a new approach. There’s no official release date for the game yet, but it’s expected to arrive on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One before the end of the year.
