Jax died in the final episode of Sons of Anarchy after his motorcycle hit an oncoming 18-wheeler. His death was pretty decisive. Jax’s death took place after the events of Sons of Anarchy and also served as a narrative thread for his show Mayans MC, a spin-off dealing with Jax’s death.
Fans have hinted at a number of possibilities about Jax reappearing in the Sons of Anarchy universe, like flashbacks in next season’s Mayans MC, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Mayans MC has been renewed for a fifth season, set to come to FX in 2023.
