After surviving a week in Sons of the Forest, I found a flashlight. For one thing, I can finally use all the batteries I find in the cannibal camp, but more importantly, I’ve been scouring the island’s bone-chilling caverns to find out where I am. (The lighter and torch just didn’t burn out. That).
Like all of the forest’s great discoveries, Flashlight awaits you in a terrifying scene: a man hanging from a cliff by a rope, surrounded by alcohol. His unhappy ending is our reward. .
Son of the Forest Flashlight: Where to Find It
The flashlight can be found on one of the purple Point of Interest markers that appear on your GPS at the start of the game.what you are looking for Landmark immediately northwest of central snow mountain, near the end of the North/South River. There is a path that leads directly there, but consider cutting trees to avoid the cannibal camp nearby.
If you leave the GPS unplugged, it will start beeping as you approach. It will beep as you get closer. If you approach from the west, you’ll probably see the hanging body first (or like me, you might miss it entirely, as he’s blended into the cliff face).
pathetic guy. Anyway, I took this screenshot about 8 seconds after eating a human leg. Beneath his hanging body is free alcohol (used by Molotov in his cocktails), but you can’t get anything out of him until you cut him down.
Walk around the cliffs on either side until you find the slope to the top. Head back to the beeping marker this time from the top of the cliff and you’ll find a small rock with a rope tied to it (plus some booze). Swing an ax on a boulder several times to cut the rope.
back down the cliff There is a flashlight next to his bodyLooting the body itself also finds a GPS locator (opens in new tab)I immediately offered to my three-armed friend Virginia (opens in new tab) I was finally able to see her on the map like Kelvin.
Flashlights are a permanent addition to your inventory and cannot be dropped. It’s near the knife on the left side of the crafting space. When the flashlight runs out of default batteries, you can replace it by “combining” the flashlight with a pack of batteries (if you have one, just above the crafting space). There is also L is for “Let there be light”.
