(Thank you era reset), it also has a FAQ section and one of the questions it answers is whether players need a PSN account to play PlayStation games on PC. The answer is “No, now on PC he doesn’t need a PSN account to enjoy PlayStation Studios games”, and it’s the word “now” that confuses some players.
The wording seems to imply that the PSN account requirements for playing PlayStation games on PC may change in the future. Some hope that playing the game will allow them to earn trophies and be able to communicate with their PSN friends while playing the game. But the former only applies when Sony brings multiplayer titles to PC. Some have wondered if this means Sony is working on its own PC game launcher, but this seems unlikely. Whatever Sony has planned, it remains to be seen what it will be for some time.
In other news, Sony allegedly paid “blocking rights” to developers to prevent their games from being included in Xbox Game Pass. Elsewhere, four more cast members have been revealed for HBO’s The Last of Us.
