You might be thinking, “Wait, wasn’t Splatoon 3 just updated two days ago?” and you would be right. The huge 4.0.0 patch opened up the game for everyone new to Sisel Season, but it also included some nasty bugs.
In hopes of fixing these issues, Nintendo released another update today targeting previously introduced issues.
Chief among these issues were the Squeezer and Brera weapons not working properly, with the former firing farther than normal and the latter having difficulty perceiving the opening and closing mechanism. Luckily, this seems to be the target this time around, and hopefully weapon classes will once again be put on a level playing field.
A fairly short patch note has been released. nintendo support It’s on the site, but I’ve put it together for you to check out below.
Splatoon 3 ver. 4.0.1 (Released on June 1st)
Fixed player controls
・Fixed an issue where, when using the squeezer, jumping with the B button and landing while pressing the ZR button would cause the burst range to expand more than expected.
– Fixed an issue where the targeting reticle would not always reflect changes when opening and closing the Brera.
*Battle Replay is still compatible after Ver.1. Although it is 4.0.0, it does not correspond to Ver.4.0.0. 3.1.1 and earlier.
