After two closed beta tests and a recent demo launch, Street Fighter fans may have thought they’d never get another chance to play the next installment before its launch on June 2nd. However, Capcom has surprise announced an open beta test for Street Fighter 6, which will run from May 19th to 21st.
of open beta Contains all content from the second Closed Beta Test, which took place just before the December 16-19 holiday. That test is Street Fighter 6’s online lobby where players can customize their characters, challenge each other to play against each other, and play classic Capcom games via the in-game Arcade His Cabinet. Centered around the hub.
The Open Beta roster is also the same as the second Closed Beta Test, with the list of playable characters including:
- Ryu
- Guile
- Ken
- Chun-Li
- Julie
- Luke
- Jamie
- Kimberly
The Surprise Open Beta follows the launch of the Street Fighter 6 demo version that gives players a taste of the game’s World Tour story mode. Characters created in the demo will carry over to the full game when it launches next month, but characters created in the open beta will not carry over.
Street Fighter 6 launches June 2nd for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The open beta test will be free to download starting May 19th on all platforms the game releases on, except PlayStation 4.
