Upcoming new gameplay Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Unlike the first game, the sequel will finally allow Jedi Cal Kestis to cut through stormtroopers and other human enemies. This is a good thing because it makes it feel like
Lightsaber is one of the coolest creations. Star Wars Technology and one of the best fictional weapons ever created.Soon the iconic weapon and its sound are so ingrained in our minds that adult actors Star Wars Movies and shows are handed prop lightsabers they made Humming and hissing like I was 8 years old againAnd I don’t blame anyone for loving lightsabers. A powerful laser sword that can cut off limbs and cut through metal doors, and is brightly colored. What more do you want? But for a long time, most Star Wars including games 2019 Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order— don’t let you TRUE Slice and dice with these iconic razor blades and treat them like glowing bats.
However, in the new gameplay released by IGN Yesterday I found out that this is not survivorIn a neat video explaining how the game’s combat stances work, the developers showcase Cal fighting different enemies while also showing how his different moves work and how his stances affect combat. I will explain how it affects you.
It’s all fine and dandy. But what’s more interesting to me is what happens in the fight against some Imperial scouts. around 4:14:
Look at that! Kal cut off the man’s leg. And if you look around the floor at that point in the video, you’ll see him with two more limbs that were probably severed early in the fight. This is exciting!
Kotaku We reached out to EA and Respawn about this disconnect and were told that “the footage is as is” and that the publisher would not provide additional comment.
for years, Star Wars The game made lightsabers feel pretty weak It often takes dozens of hits to kill a random enemy, and unless it’s a droid or random animal, it can’t dismember or do any real damage to the target. in a 2019 interviewRespawn senior designer Justin Perez seemed to imply that Lucasfilm and Disney weren’t happy about chopping off arms and legs with lightsabers. further backed up by clone warwhich is also mentioned in IGN 2019 interview.
So I thought that was how things worked. Cal could kill all innocent animals and aliens, but could not cut off the limbs of the stormtroopers. However, it seems Disney and Lucasfilm have relaxed this rule or given Respawn a pass.
Either way, I’m excited to play Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Several legs will be amputated when it launches for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on April 28, 2023.
