Since Tekken 8 was unveiled during Sony’s State of Play stream in 2022, many fighter planes have been shown. Fan-favorite Jun Kazuma returns, along with Jin Kazama, Nina Williams, and other legacy characters. Like our trusty Paul, he’s been in every Tekken game since the first one. Although, he’s aged along the way and his hair no longer looks like a tube.
So it’s no big surprise that the latest fighter announced is Blood Claw Farang. We know he thinks he’s handsome when Akira slides onto the stage on his motorcycle in the latest reveal trailer. Farang has appeared in every Tekken game since his appearance in Tekken 3, and his rivalry with Jin Kazama continues throughout the series. In this trailer, Hwarang, a taekwondo fighter wearing a traditional Korean dobok, is a kicking specialist who seems to incorporate some of the moves of his old master, Baek Dusan.
Characters revealed before Farang appeared Lili (opens in new tab), aka Emilie de Rochefort who debuted in Tekken 5’s Dark Resurrection update. A French-speaking heiress from Monaco, Lili has a hobby of street fighting. Her style emphasizes reach over speed, and she has a sure slap and powerful side step that makes dodging blows as easy as her physical labor. Also, does she have a cat now? Of course it’s Siamese.
