Our recap of the best Game Pass additions for each month of 2022 returns in May. This adds even more variety to the game, featuring everything from dinosaurs to hordes of the undead.
In May, we added Xbox Game Pass for another month. This includes those added to our list of the best games on Game Pass. We’ve combed through tons of games to highlight some of the best and biggest games joining the Game Pass library. In May, we continue our breakdown of the best Game Pass additions of 2022.

Narrative RPG Citizen Sleeper hit Game Pass in early May and took us to a well-worn space station known as Erlin’s Eye. There, everyone aims to survive and escape the control of the Essen-Arp company. Our character consists of a human consciousness sitting within a body belonging to Essen-Arp, with the added ability to hack into Erlin’s Eye’s system to reveal new secrets. The space station is home to all sorts of characters, and you’ll have to figure out who you can trust to see the next cycle and how you can survive. It’s on Game Pass — it’s a short game, estimated to be completed in about 8-10 hours, but it already has a 4.06/5 rating on TrueAchievements and works well. As another example of the kind of diversity Game Pass can offer in a library made up of imaginative indies.

Danganronpa 2 Sayonara Zetsubou Gakuen Anniversary Edition
Following the first game to enter Game Pass in January, Danganronpa 2 arrived on the service in May, giving us a second slice of that awesome/terrifying killer game. It’s another captivating tale, with a whole new cast of (somehow) even stranger characters approaching and suspecting, an interesting new setting far from the trappings of the schoolhouse, and plenty of mysteries and murders to solve. More than our fair share of surprises in the store. These expand beyond the credits and feature a much more fleshed out post-game, including additional new modes and features to keep you playing long after you’ve cleared the story. With the hilariously dark humor that made it so special, the improvements to make the class trials even more intense, and the case’s proper head scratcher, it’s well worth your time. You want to play the original first for maximum effect, but it may not be on Game Pass for long, so if you haven’t already, you’ll need to do so sooner or later.. .
Heroic Chronicle: Rising
In another change of pace, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising — the predecessor to the upcoming JRPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes in 2023 — has joined the Game Pass as a 2.5D action RPG with town upgrade aspects. After Loomburrow was discovered underground following an earthquake around the town of New Neva, the heroes his CJ and Garoo (who hope to find treasure there) set a goal to restore the town. Join forces with Isha. Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is also a short game (estimated completion time is 15-20 hours) and might have been overlooked if not for the increased awareness with the release of Xbox Game Pass. In return, more variety was introduced to the Game Pass lineup.
Heroic Chronicle: Rising
“Heroden Chronicle Rising” is an action RPG set in the same world as “Hyakuden Chronicle Hyakuyushi”. It features town upgrade mechanics, fast-paced combat, and significant backstories for several characters from Heroic Chronicles: the cast of Hundred Heroes.

Okay, it may have popped up a few times before, but I love the Jurassic World Evolution games so much that I can’t wait to see the sequel join Xbox Game Pass less than a year after launch. It was great. There may be some debate between those who like to build efficient dinosaur reserves and those who like to unleash carnivores and let chaos unfold, but at least We can agree that Jurassic World Evolution 2 added a solid management sim to the Game Pass library. Plus, it’s always fun to hear Jeff Goldblum chatter about dinosaurs. Thing.

Travel away from the world of dinosaurs and into the world of top-down bullet-hell roguelike Vampire Survivor. The Game Pass console version of Vampire Survivors was still months away from launching, but in May he’s gritting his teeth on defeating waves of undead enemies with a Game Preview version coming to his PC Game Pass. I was able to. The gameplay loop in Vampire Survivors is ridiculously fun. It was a huge hit in early access on Steam, so perfect for picking up PC Game Pass and beefing up your library with another great game.

Vampire Survivors is a time survival game with minimal gameplay and roguelite elements.

The Xbox Game Pass team has refused to slow down with the May addition as June approaches. In another change of pace, his third-person shooter, Sniper Elite 5, has made it to Xbox Game Pass as an addition to his fantastic Day 1 towards the end of May. The game is well-reviewed and equally popular on TrueAchievements, reaching a rating of 4.06/5, where he has over 70,000 players.
