We met in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse many of the spider entity. At least a few hundred, possibly a thousand or more. Almost every Spider-Man suit you’ve ever seen is represented here. But we’re not here to talk about a bunch of weird Peter Parkers. In fact, we’re not going to talk about Peter Parker at all. Because the best new spider people you’ll meet in Spider-Verse are all different.or some thing Or, in some cases, some of them aren’t human at all.
That’s a big part of the Spider-Verse magic. We can come across a great many spiderfolk. it’s not peter parker. This is great. Because we’ve played Spider-Man more than fair on the big screen. Now it’s time for others to spend time in the sun.
WARNING: SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE CONTAINS SOME SPOILERS. However, this is just a fun feature and I’m not going to talk too much about the plot.
Somewhat hard to believe, but almost all spider beings who get meaningful screen time actually come from comics, even animal ones. See, the comics had a Spider-Verse event in 2014, a few years before the first Spider-Verse movie came out in 2018. In this story, spiders from all dimensions formed the Web Warriors. A hyperdimensional Avengers-like group made up entirely of Spider-People to protect themselves from a group of multiverse hunters dedicated to killing every spider-being.
Well, almost all of the wacky new Spider-Persons you meet in Across the Spider-Verse have comic origins, and many of them are specifically featured in these Spider-Verse comics. Yes, even horses came from cartoons.
