It’s no secret that we love AAA games The Last of Us Part 1 It requires enormous human effort. As the game gets bigger, so does the list of names that scroll through during the credits, and in TLOU Part 1, one of those names says “Daniel Kinnard.” He worked as a game producer in Naughty Dog’s visual arts department. Unfortunately he passed away during development. Naughty his dog included his name and likeness in the Easter egg for The Last of Us Part 1.

The room can be searched by the player during the farmhouse sequence where Joel and Tommy are searching for Ellie. His one in the room has a baseball poster depicting Daniel Kinnard on the wall. He has his arms crossed, but he shines brightly. A baseball mitt and multiple baseballs are next to the poster.
The easter egg was pointed out by Robert Morrison on Twitter. Now he’s at Bend Studio, Morrison is working on his The Last of Us Part 1 and describes Daniel as “a lot of friends.”
Fans have started replying to tweets expressing their condolences. At the time of writing, the post has been retweeted over 1000 times. By the minute, more and more people know Daniel Kinnaird’s name.
PlayStation LifeStyle’s review of The Last of Us Part 1 described it as still a “masterpiece” almost a decade later. The environments have been overhauled, the characters are incredibly beautiful, and the story and acting blend nicely with the excellent gameplay.
